()I've used Crest Whitestrips before and they definitely work.I had used the 30min versions and was always pleased with the results, so when I saw the Intensive Professional Effects pop up on my Vine Newsletter I thought, hey, why not?

Well, the good news is they work very very well.They stick to your teeth better than the 30min ones do, and the effects are very noticable after one use.

The bad news comes in two areas.First, 2 hours is a pretty long time commitment, since these things are not invisible.You won't be able to wear them out in public and be talking to people.My work schedule is pretty busy, so I found it hard to use them every single day.

Second, the sensitivity issue.I know they say its temporary and it is, but whereas the 30min strips left my teeth sensitive for a few hours, these take days to recover from.That combined with the need of 2 solid hours of around-the-house time keep me from using them every day.

Again, they work well, but Crest also makes versions that, while maybe not as fast acting, work better with most peoples schedules.An effective product that provides a nice alternative to expensive dentists visits, but know what you're getting into before you start.

I have a small jawline, so the strips are plenty wide and cover my teeth to my pre-molars (unlike some Whitestrip products).

Results are noticeable in one use.However, because of the strength of the whitening solution & because of the number of hours on your teeth, if your teeth are sensitive, these strips may not work for you.For a coffee, tea, cola drinker, these will be my go-to product from now on.

I too myself had crazy thoughts of yanking my teeth out of my mouth after the first application, due to the intensity of the after wards pain, BUT I have discovered a way to completely avoid it!

*cut the strips so that they do not fold over the edges of your teeth, because this is where the pain will be coming from due to the thin enamel.*

*while using this product, I highly recommend purchasing "Thera Dent" teeth desensitizing oral wash and use it through out the entire week you whiten your teeth with these strong Whitestrips. This mouthwash will put minerals back into your teeth that the strips may weaken.*

*Brush your teeth with a toothpaste created for sensitive teeth during the days you whiten. Toothpaste must contain 5% potassium nitrate and fluoride.*

*try holding a warm concentrated table salt and water solution in your mouth right after removing the strips."

I did all of this today and I did not experience ANY discomfort or sensitivity on my teeth. So this method WORKS!!!! =D

I gave this product 5 stars after finding a way around the problems is can cause.

()I have professional in-the-dentists-office whitening done, and this product comes very close to delivering the same results. It's only drawback is that it takes much longer--a week as opposed to sitting in a chair for an hour or so--but then it's also much more reasonable than what you'd pay for a pro whitening. Excellent product and I highly recommend it.

These really do work very well.I went from slightly yellowish teeth to white with no yellow at all.Buy them here for the best price. Target sells these for sixty five dollars.

They stick so well they can be slightly hard to remove and none of the gel seeps out so that you can even drink water with them on.Yes it's two hours but I don't find this a problem.

They aren't terribly visible.I had used the regular Whitestrips a few years ago and they lightened about two shades but these lightened about four shades.I don't want that blindingly white teeth look some people have that makes it hard for me to stop staring at their teeth.

So these are perfect.

Here is how I avoided pain and sensitivity to these.I only wore them every two or three days.And I was meticulous about not letting them touch my gums at all.

I never experienced a moment of pain or discomfort.And I left each one on for two hours.

Not sure this would work for everyone but it worked for me.Make sure you don't have any cavaties before you use these.I'm a little bit surprised by all the people talking about pain from these since I didn't experience that so it's an individual thing I guess but do try only using them every two or three days. For me it is a no brainer to use these instead of going the five hundred dollar dental office whitening route.

I was fitted for mouth trays by my dentist and he referred me to this whitener. He DID say that there were stronger percentages, but also assured me that the 20%/3% was the one that was the best 'bang for your buck'.

I didn't experience any sensitivity, and the gel whitened my teeth very quickly. Would definitely buy again.

I am giving this product 5 stars. I have used a couple of other products prior to this the way it whitens the teeth and the time it takes is pretty similar to other products (Opalessence is what I have been using previously) but for me the biggest difference is the lack of tingling with my teeth whilst bleaching.I could barely use the opalessence for more than 2 days in a row due to the severe tingling sensation, verging on pain! I am now on my 5th consecutive night of using Contrast PM and whilst there is a mild tingling through the day, it is certainly more than bearable by comparison.

The only down side for me was in the delivery.I live in the UK and this product was hit with customs duty before it arrived meaning I had to pay a further £14 before I could get it this has never happened when ordering the other whitener which I have done on several occasions. Perhaps this supplier makes a different custom declaration, I'm not sure, but it was still worth it for me!

I would definitely order this again.

Now Foods Xyliwhite Platinum Mint with Baking Soda Toothpaste

Platinum mint is better then XyliWhite's other toothpaste, refreshmint.It does great in terms of flavor but negative points when it comes to staying power.Though it holds together better then refreshmint, it still doesn't stick around by the time you're actually done brushing your teeth.A better healthy alterative is Tom's of Maine propolis & myrrh.That toothpaste has great flavor and sticks with brushing your teeth to the point you're done.

Those interested in knowing the ingredients to this product:

Water, xylitol, hydrated silica, sodium bicarbonate, glycerin, sorbitol, natural mint flavor, peppermint oil, sodium coco-sulfate, carrageenan, papain, tea tree leaf oil, sodium carbonate and potassium sorbate.

I'm using a lot of xylitol products and like what they can do in terms of adjusting the pH of the mouth, making your teeth feel slippery clean, and providing a "food" for the bacteria in your mouth that they cannot digest.I think I've tried almost all the xylitol oral care products that I have been able to find.

I like the flavor of this toothpaste, which is an agreeable middle-of-the-road mint.People preferring strong mint will probably not be as fond of this.It is mild, and as you brush, it seems to break down fast and not leave much of a flavor.Though I deducted a star, taste is secondary I want clean, and this delivers.

Xyliwhite also makes a Cinnamint toothpaste which has similar ingredients, but seems to have a lingering "dirty" flavor.Perhaps the formula of this Platinum Mint flavor (which includes peppermint oil) masks it better.Whatever the case, Platinum Mint tastes better to me.Both flavors by this brand claim 25% xylitol content.

There is yet one more flavor in the Xyliwhite line which I have not yet tried Refreshmint.If an economical way can be found to buy one tube to sample, that'd be great, but for now, the shipping costs from other vendors, or the requirement of buying multi-packs prevents that.

If you're checking out xylitol oral care products, you might do well to try both flavors -as well as other brandsto find your favorite.

I came across this product because I was looking for a toothpaste that is free of fluoride and sodium lauryl sulfate. This toothpaste claims to be SLS free but sodium lauryl sulfate and sodium coco-sulfate (which is listed in the ingredients) are the same thing.. If that doesn't matter to you though, this is a good toothpaste alternative to the typical fluoride ridden crap sold everywhere.

Non-fluoridated toothpaste a very good product to have in your home.

After finding out that Sodium Fluoride is a poison, I decided to switch to a non fluoridated toothpaste.

Fluoride is a bi-product from things like aluminum and fertilizers. And the FDA classifies it as a drug!

If you look on the back of a fluoride toothpaste tube, it states: If swallowed, call your local poison control center.

So, if fluoride is safe, like they have been telling us, why would I need to call a poison control center???

(Not that I would be inclined to purposely swallow fluoride toothpaste as an adult, but your child might, cause I know I did).

It is a known fact that a little bit of your toothpaste is swallowed each time you brush, and they recommend brushing 3 times a day. That's alot of little doses that end up being swallowed day after day. It may be good as a topical for your teeth, though not recommended because it can be absorbed into your gums and inside your mouth, also, it is bad for your internal organs. Fluoride also burns the skin. Imagine what it does to your body.

You can research the facts for yourself. Just Google it!

I chose XyliWhite Platinum Baking Soda Toothpaste because there are not alot of choices out there, but I tried it, and I liked it.

Never never never, will I go back to fluoride toothpaste!!!

I bought this after doing a lot of research regarding flouride. Flouride is analogous to radiation. Great for X-rays, bad for continued exposure. This toothpaste, being flouride free, does what you would expect from toothpaste; cleans teeth.The first few times you use this you will be undoubtadly be turned off by the taste. However the pleasant taste from main stream toothpaste is due to added chemicals, which although provide good taste, should never me ingested.Over half way through this tube brushing twice (morning, night) and am very satisfied with the product.Do a bit of homework on flouride's nasty effects on the human body and you will never EVER use fouride toothpaste again.

If you are someone with naturally bad breath this toothpaste probably won't kick it. This is a much milder paste than others, however, for myself it works great and I am now not slowly poisoning myself from flouride!

I have used this product off and on for many years.Use as directed for a week, to two weeks, depending on the amount of whitness you need, it really works.I use to get it at my dentist office, they started charging alot for it so I found it on-line and have been very very happy with it.It is so much cheaper to buy on-line.I have used the Crest Strips and it is no where near as effective as the Day White.

You should initially check with your dentist before you buy Day White because your gums may not be in good enough condition to use it.

ALSO, you will need to have a form-fitted tray to closely fit your teeth to squirt the bleach into.Your Dentist can make a mold for you,or, you can try to find a snug-fitting rubber teeth tray.But if the tray is too big you will waste a lot of the bleach.You don't want that.The bleach is strong enough to blister a gum, so TRY NOT to apply it directly on the gum line.If you have healthy gums and teeth, you should have no problems.Follow their enclosed directions.

You may need to re-apply Day White in a couple years, depending on how much coffee, tea, smoking, etc. you do.

Over all this product works excellent.

After I had the Zoom whitening procedure done at my dentist's office last year, I was given DayWhite to keep my smile bright.I was excited to find DayWhite available on Amazon, since I was certain it was pretty pricey through my dentist.It is a good product, when used in moderation.Applying too much for the one hour maximum will cause your gums to become very sensitive for four days. Applying the right amount in your tray will work better without the sensitive gums issue.I recommend this product.Reasonable price for a product that works.

However, be aware this is to be applied to a molded tooth form that is made by a dentist.

The four syringes to a box are plenty and last me a long time.
