Colgate Sensitive Maximum Strength Sensitive Whitening Toothpaste 6 oz

Colgate Sensitive Maximum Strength Sensitive Whitening Toothpaste 6 ozRegarding the product, I love it. I have sensitive teeth and I find toothpastes like Sensodyne to be unpleasant and cause a lingering bitter taste in my mouth. Colgate and Aquafresh sensitive do not, so I use both brands. They never cause tooth pain either, so they both work well for me.

Also, in grocery stores and drugstores, this usually costs close to $4, and "sales" (I've never seen this less than $3.59) are much rarer for sensitive toothpastes than they are for regular pastes, so it's never been the cheapest way to brush your teeth. But at today's price of $13.90, it works out to $2.32 per tube, which is . . . well, cheap. The savings won't make or break you financially, but it's always nice to know you're getting a real bargain. I don't mind buying 6 at a time and storing them.

Overall, I'm very pleased with the product and very happy to see it here for this price, the cheapest I've ever seen it anywhere. 5 stars.

ALERT!

I just popped by this page (Sept 10, 2009) and was SHOCKED to see a new seller "SET 4 BABY," selling this 6-pack for over $35!!! Seriously? Almost $6 per tube PLUS shipping??? As you can see from my June 29 review, I paid less than $14. To me, anything over $21 is not worth it. But $35? It's laughable.

Sept 11, 2009:

I emailed the "set4baby" merchant and they were kind enough to respond, but indicated they were unable (unwilling) to lower the price from $35, but I see now it's back to being sold by Amazon, which is a good thing. They must have decided not to sell this product anymore. Any future purchasers of this product should just keep an eye on the ever-fluctuating price. I think if you can get it for under $18 for this 6-pack ($3.00 per tube), it's a very good deal. Maybe I'd even buy for up to $21 ($3.50 each). Otherwise, it's not worth saving a few pennies from the grocery/drug store prices.

May 31, 2010:

I'm pleased to see this is still being sold & fulfilled by Amazon, and is going for under $15, so it appears to be stable. I've just ordered another 6-pack @ $14.97 ($2.49 per tube). It's the cheapest way I know of to get Colgate Sensitive.

Aug 17, 2010:

This product continue to experience wild price fluctuations, depending on who is the seller and whether or not Amazon does the fulfillment. Currently, it's over $27, and thus, overpriced. But given the pattern illustrated from my above updates, I wouldn't be surprised if it's back under $20 or possibly even $15 the next time I check this page out. Just keep an eye on the price and know that you can get it for $3.50-4.00 per tube or so at a local store.

I have had lifelong heart problems. The medications for my heart and asthma, and constant hospital stays with no toothbrush completely destroyed my teeth. I have very crooked teeth and the medications made my gums and teethextremly sensitive.

I cannot see a dentist as they continue to refuse to work on me. I am told I need a root canal, but, I cannot find a dentist that is willing to work only teeth. The dentists say I am too big of a risk with a serious heart problem. Now as a young man of twenty one yeRs of age, I want a life and horrible teeth makes others perceptions od me as having bad hygene.

I sW this toothpaste in a grocery store and I picked it up. Within days my teeth no longer ached. I threw out my old tube of paste and completely switched to this one. The stains on my teeth are slowly disappearing, and my teeth looks better, much, much better then they did six months ago when I first started using this paste.

I highly recommend this product. It basically cleared up my sensitivity, and is slowly whitening my teeth. Soon all I will need to do is to find a damn dentist that will give me braces to strengthen my teeth.

Thank you Colgate for an awesome product.

My dentist recommended "sensitive" toothpaste for my tooth pain. I couldn't see how that would help much but my husband picked up some Colgate and it worked. It isn't available at every place I shop, especially at a decent price so I was pleased to find it here and have it delivered to my home. I keep some in each bathroom and never run out anymore. I am very pleased with this purchase.

Crest 3d White Gentle Routine Teeth Whitening Strips 28 Count

Crest 3d White Gentle Routine Teeth Whitening Strips 28 CountI have used several kinds of Crest Whitestrips, from the original to the pro to the advanced and other varieties.I love them, even the original strips work great. These 5 minute strips, however, I was not impressed with and found them to be pretty much ineffective. My advice to those with sensitive teeth:rather than buying these strips, buy the originals or an upgraded version and use them less often than as directed to reduce sensitivity.Use them once every few days or once a week rather than the recommended once or twice a day.You will still get great results, but giving your teeth a break in between uses will dramatically decrease any pain from sensitivity.

Here's a tip, buy these Strips instead of the more expensive other 3D strips and instead of leaving them on for the recommended 5 Minutes, leave them on for a full 30 minutes and experience a whitening that is 90% as good as the professional stripes. To me they are almost identical cleaning and much more worth the price then the others. I just can't believe the huge margins that crest must be making on these things therefore I bought these on subscribe and save and with a $5 off coupon for $12.50.That price seems much more reasonable for a product like this.

Anyways, I absolutely recommend these stripes as they have really cleaned up my coffee/tea/red wine stained teeth!

Crest 3D Whitestrips Gentle Routine have worked well for me.My teeth are sensitive so I was mindful to follow the directions provided by the manufacturer for this product.Very little discomfort was experienced and the whitening effect has been quite noticeable to my smile, especially when wearing colored lip glosses.I've been very pleased with the results of this product. If you're looking for magic-white-overnight you may want to pay the price for that service to be done by a professional. If you're on a budget and don't mind the process taking a few days for first results, I would recommend this product. The whitening continues with use and I will purchase this product again.

I decided to try this product before my wedding last September. My teeth really aren't overly sensitive, but I've tried several brands of whitening strips in the past, and have experienced almost unbearable pain with all of them. The first time I tried this product, I must have been distracted by the TV or something, because the recommended 5 minutes came and went and I ended up leaving it on for about a half hour. No pain. So I continued to do 30 minutes a day up until a week before my wedding. There was a very small amount of sensitivity once in a while when the strips were actually on my teeth, but nothing worth complaining about. I had beautiful white teeth on my big day.

I have had problems in the past with the original Crest Whitestrips hurting my teeth (even while brushing with Sensodyne). These Gentle Routine strips have been amazing so far.I have always been self-conscious about my teeth and these have greatly improved my confidence when i smile. (yeah, yeah sounds cliche, but its true!)

Pros:

-only have to wear them for 5 minutes so it takes less time than other Crest Whitestrips products

-haven't given my teeth any sensitivity problems

-cost much less than dentist-strength whitening products (I paid $30.00 at Target).

Cons:

-28 treatments take longer than the 10 day treatments

-Whitening is less dramatic

Bottom line: If you have sensitivity problems and you don't want to spend hundreds of dollars at the dentist these are the product for you.The whitening is noticeable but if you're going for that Julia Roberts look you may want to try the original formula first.
