Five Tips to White Teeth You Should Know

White teeth have long been the mark of Hollywood stars and famous role models. In this day and age, teeth whitening treatments have become pretty affordable. Sometimes these treatments work, but they can be expensive, and hurt your sensitive gums and teeth.

There are a lot of ways you can naturally get to those white teeth. A natural teeth whitening remedy will save you lots of money, will be easier on your gums and teeth, and usually isn't as time consuming. When naturally remedies just won't do it for you, sometimes you need professional products to get the job done. Either way, this article will help you whiten your teeth. So what are you waiting for? Check out these awesome tips for whiter teeth.

Tips

1. Natural Fruit Paste
Lemons work great for teeth whitening. If you use some lemon juice, and mix it with table salt into a paste, you can use the paste for a few days to remove those hard stains on your teeth. Simply brush your teeth with the paste a few times a week until you notice a difference. It's a good idea not to make a habit out of brushing your teeth with the lemon juice mixture, lemons as well all know are acidic. They are so acidic, that the lemon juice can eat away at the enamel of your teeth if used too frequently. The lemon juice mixture is ok in moderation, but be sure not to make a habit out of it. Strawberries can be used to make a similar acidic paste to remove stains on teeth. Mash up some strawberries, mix with salt and apply to teeth. This paste is gentler, but still shouldn't be used frequently. Because both of these methods are so inexpensive and simple, I reccomend trying these first to get rid of stains.

2. Brush with Baking Soda
Don't use a teeth whitening program and expect it to substitute for normal good quality dental care. You should brush your teeth 2-3 times a day and floss regularly. When you brush your teeth, you may consider buying a toothpaste with baking soda, or making your own baking soda mixture. Baking soda has long been known to remove stains on teeth, and it's an effective and cheap treatment that you can try at home.

3. Regulate your Diet
You were probably expecting another paste remedy, right? I thought we'd move on to your diet and food you eat. If you want whiter teeth, you should cut back on smoking, coffee, and tea. Cigarretes, coffees, and teas have been shown to stain and discolor your teeth. Even if you find a whitening program that works for you, these things will continue to discolor your teeth for as long as you use them. The best advice is to cut back on these substances. It's also important to drink plenty of water and eat right. Water keeps your body hydrated and is important for good oral hygeine. Drinking lots of water can help to rinse out your mouth and keep your mouth cleaner. Eat a good balanced diet and get all of your vitamins. Doing this will allow you to strengthen your teeth and gums.

4. Try the Whitening Cream
If you haven't had much luck thus far, it might be time to shell out some cash and buy some whitening products. I've found that the most effective whitening treatments are Platinum whites gel, and Crest whitening strips. The platinum whites gel whitens your teeth by painting them white. The paint is permanent, and it's a simple treatment. Crest white strips just go on your teeth and work much like the whitening gel. Talk to your dentist to find out what he/she reccomends, and look online at different product reviews. I've found these two products to work best for me, but your teeth may be different.

5. Talk to your Dentist
Whitening strips and gels are usually a good remedy. If you still have stains on your teeth that you just can't get rid of, it's time to talk to your dentist. Your dentist can reccomend a professional whitening program that will work better for you. These programs are done by professionals, and work quickly and with a good success rate. A lot of actors use these whitening treatments, the only problem is, they come with an expensive price tag. Your best bet is the whitening gels and creams, but if that just doesn't work for you, this will get you whiter teeth--for a price.
