I love this toothpaste!

It does not taste as sweet and artificial as regular toothpastes do. If you look at the ingredients, the essential oils in this are great for their antibacterial, antifungal, antibacterial, and antiseptic properties.I put a drop of the OnGuard oil on my toothbrush with this toothpaste as additional protection.

After hearing my friend rave about this toothpaste I decided to try it. I need a root canal but we don't have the funds to pay for it so I was trying to find something to help with the tooth sensitivity. As soon as I started using this all sensitivity went away. It was amazing. And I love how clean and fresh this makes my mouth feel. It is so different than any other toothpaste I have ever used. and I love that it is natural. the whitening is also a bonus. I've been using doTERRA products for about two years now, and I love the company. When they came out with their On Guard toothpaste I was currently on a toothpaste hunt, frustrated with all the others. My biggest complaints were my sensitivity issues and also cavities. As a dentist's daughter, I take very good care of my teethbetter than everyone I knowand I was still having these issues. Well I decided to kick fluoride (as it's actually only effective for kids teeth anyhow) and go with xylitol, which I had been researching. I had tried Tom's toothpaste brand and didn't like it. But this stuff is great! I'm studying to become an herbalist, and they really did pick some great herbal ingredients for this.

Be aware that it doesn't "lather" and foam like other commercial toothpastes do. But it will give you a clean feeling just the same! I am very particular about how clean my teeth are and feel, and this does a great job. My sensitivity disappeared, which was great. Also I used this toothpaste, xylitol mouthwash, and chewed xylitol gum after meals. I had done this with fluoride based products for years, and despite that and more, I was still getting regular cavities. With the xylitol, I was cavity free! Horray! Even better, when I went back to my dentist she had also discovered xylitol and was recommending it to all of her patients!

I highly recommend you use xylitol mouthwash and chew xylitol gum (or mints) to make your dental care the most effective. Good brands include Spry and Now. I really like Spry's cinnamon gum. You can also buy straight xylitol for sweetener in foods. Just be aware of the cautionstoo much at once (tablespoon fulls suddenly introduced into one's diet) can act as a laxative, and is also toxic to pets.
