Natural Dentist Toothpaste Whitening Peppermint Twist 5 oz ( Multi-Pack)

After six months into using the product, I started developing small white bumps on the tip of my tongue which was affecting my sense of taste. It took me a while to figure this out, but it seems that one of the ingredients in this whitening toothpaste was responsible for it. Although I can't be totally sure regarding the specific problematic ingredient, the culprit is most likely the "low-abrasion polishing silica" which seems to be the only new ingredient compared to some of the earlier toothpastes I was using which never had any similar problems. As soon as I stopped using this toothpaste, the white bumps disappeared in a matter of days. Not everyone may have the same reaction, but in case you do, you now know what might be causing it.

I bought this toothpaste as I was trying to purchase an all natural alternative without any Sodium Lauryl Sulfates (SLS) in it.I was previously using Tom's of Maine and even though it was all natural, had SLS in it which is abrasive to your gums.I picked up a bottle of this locally to try first before I bought any in bulk. I use the Natural Dentist mouthwash and love it so figured I'd give this brand a try for toothpaste.

The peppermint flavor starts off strong and then within seconds seems to disappear before I even brush 1/4 of my mouth.I'm sure the toothpaste is accomplishing what it is supposed to, but my mouth is not left feeling clean or refreshed at all.I can't recommend this product based upon this.I gave it 2 stars as opposed to 1 since it is all natural and contains no SLS.
