Sheer White Teeth Whitening Strips

Sheer White Teeth Whitening StripsMy dentist recommended these as an alternative to the tray and solution method, which I had yet to try.The kit includes 5 pairs of peroxide strips, one pair per night to be used for 5 consecutive nights. The instructions were not terrific, but manageable. It was a little awkward at first since each strip is about 3.5" long and you are trying to center it on your teeth without going too high on the gumline, and then tuck it under. The strips are thicker than Crest strips and the like, and I had a little trouble with my fingers sticking to them.Note that the peroxide is facing up on the strip when you remove it from the packaging.I recommend aligning the front first before tucking it around to the back side of your teeth.Once you have tucked the strip, it is very difficult to start over and correct any poor alignments.I found it much easier to navigate the top teeth vs. the bottoms, but I got better as the days went on.Once in position, the kit also includes a little pick so you can tuck the strip around the contours of each tooth.Be careful as it is possible to poke holes in the strip if you use the sharp end of the pick.

There is no issue with these staying in place through the night. The taste reminded me of a peroxide toothpaste but without the mint flavor. The strips remove easily and the residue brushes off without a problem. As for the results, I definitely noticed a difference after Night 1, and more subtle improvements as the week went on.Overall, I am happy with the result.

I did experience periodic sensitivity, particularly to cold drinks, but no pain.

My dentist charged $50 for the kit but I see it is much less expensive here on Amazon.I used these immediately after a formal cleaning at my dentist, and will likely order a kit on a yearly basis.

It was the first time I used this product and it really works. My teeth were noticably whiter with 1 use and a big improvement after 3. It doesn't really have good instructions, but most people who have used whitening strips before can figure it out. I will order this again.

the strips were recommended by the dentist as being a good product, they do seem to work. i have lots of dental work so can only use on the bottom teeth, i used them for 5 nights and got good results. the taste was fine and the strips are much easier to use than the drug store variety. however, i received my strips in late august and they have an expiration date of oct 2012.

This stuff works great for me. Keep in mind that you have to use it more than once to get results. I am a daily coffee drinker and I buy these strips online and use them a few times a week until I get results I'm happy with and then I only use them when I notice my teeth seem discolored. I do not notice any sensitivity on my upper teeth but do when I use it on my lower. I tried Crest professional and my teeth were sensitive for days afterward. My friend is an RDH and she said that they tell their patients to cut Sheer White strips in half and stretch them a little to make the pack last longer. Works great for me and I get compliments on my white teeth all the time!

Crest 3d White 2-Hour Express Teeth Whitening Strips 4 Count

Crest 3d White 2-Hour Express Teeth Whitening Strips 4 Count()It's a box of four sets of whitening strips. It seems to suggest that this OTC whitening strip finally contains enough concentration to whiten enough in merely 2 hours that the effect will last 3 months, as the box suggests that it's good for a year's supply. Typically over the counter whitening strips doesn't contain nearly high enough concentration of peroxides, that only after multiple and frequent applications will any results start to show. I wonder if this is different.

Application is painless. It doesn't even suggest brushing your teeth first (in fact it recommends that you don't brush your teeth immediately before application). The whitening strips has a relatively thick layer of gel, and the substrate film material is very pliable yet durable. Its purpose is trying to simulate a dental office treatment, where your teeth will be immersed in a tray of (highly concentrated) peroxide gel/mud. It stuck to my teeth with little effort and dexterity. Within minutes, my teeth was engulfed in a bubbly peroxide bath.

Having this on feels a bit strange in the mouth, and I talked like I had a big tongue, but I tried to carry on as normal. It stuck to the teeth very well, despite my biting right over the strips and licking them. The bubbly area also largely stayed put, and little disturbed by saliva and movement of the lips and tongue. Bubbly substance does seep out in the form of thick gooey film(or it's just a mixture of saliva and gel substrate). My teeth felt the effects: I wouldn't call it discomfort, but after 5 minutes I started feeling something is happening to my teeth, though it's very slight (and probably depends on people's sensitivities).

Taking it off after two hours was easy: just rip it off. I deliberately left a few teeth half covered to see if there are any before/after differences. I noticed that many of my teeth developed white marble-like patterns, or probably what the instruction referred to as "white spots". It seems to develop around areas where the teeth's surface may have imperfections and crack lines. It's said to eventually go away and I believe it.

Thus interestingly, while I wasn't expecting much effects, it seems to have done something. Alas, the experimental tooth where I left half uncovered didn't reveal much difference between the treated and untreated area, other than the marble pattern of white lines that formed on the surface of many treated teeth. I probably have deep coloration problems that cannot be treated by surface oxidation through a moderate peroxide concentration? Anyway, in other words, it didn't work all that much for me.

That said, those white marks on my teeth suggests that the strips did contain a decent amount of peroxide concentration to at least show its effects in two hours, which is on the faster end of average home treatment strips. I had my friend try it and it didn't seem to make that much difference for her either, however.

Therefore, while the active ingredient seems to be layered on thicker and more concentrated than average, it still doesn't seem to whiten that much for us. I wonder if more applications will help, but certainly not at only 4 times a year or once every 3 months. It's probably not strong enough to give off that much lasting effect with such infrequent use.

()I'd never used a whitening strip before, so wanted to give 'em a try.I really wanted bright teeth for a client meeting, and my teeth really needed a brightening up.What surprised me was that you don't brush your teeth first. That was counter-intuitive.I stuck in the strips, waited two hours, and saw a slight difference. Not a lot, but some.Well, I was in a hurry.I used another strip four days later, and another a few days after that. That really gave me some great looking teeth. Not blindingly white, but attractive white.

My only complaint is that there's gummy residue remaining on your teeth after removing the strips. I had to pick / wipe it off for a few minutes.

I was happy with the strips. Sure they were supposed to be used over a few months, but I had more immediate needs.I have slightly sensitive teeth, and these did not bother me at all.The strips are a little strange feeling, but they did not effect my speech. There was a Peroxide taste after a few minutes. I had to hold off on eating and drinking for a couple of hours though...

I give 'em a thumbs up!

I have used various at-home teeth whitening strips and gels several times in the past and had also had my teeth whitened professionally once. So when I saw these 2 hr ones, I thought "wow, great--should be really good". I applied the strips and waited 2 hrs. The strips really did stick great and I didn't have as much problem with them moving around that I normally have with whitening strips.

However, when I removed the strips the effect was very slight--not really noticeable at all. But, a few hours later I started having pain in my teeth and I've NEVER, EVER had any tooth sensitivity before. The pain lasted quite a few hours and even though I took 2 Aleeve the pain was still there. Cannot imagine the pain if a person has tooth sensitivity to begin with. I wouldn't advise anyone to buy this product.

These strips made my teeth horribly sensitive. A few hours afterward, my teeth were shooting pain, even when I wasn't drinking or eating anything. I don't normally have sensitive teeth, but if you have even the slightest bit of tooth sensitivity I do not recommend these. The whitening was ok but the pain afterwards....not worth it.

()I regularly use 3D White toothpaste which works, so I have a good general impression of the brand. And so, I was excited to try 3D White Whitestrips which are convenient and affordable professional results.Per the product page these wonderstrips claim:

-To show visible results in 2 hours (the level of whitening will vary)

-To use the same agents used by dentists (whitening peroxide) to whiten teeth

-To be easy to use (simply peel, affix, wait and remove)

-To be easy to maintain (the standard box comes with a year's supply of treatments, and the strips only need to be applied every 3 months).

-To be safe (when used as directed).

I can whole heartedly confirm that these strips ARE easy to use, and cost just a fraction of what you'd pay a dentist. The AdvancedSeal does allow you to talk and fixes on better than any whitestrips I've tried in the past. However, I have to say that after 2 hours my teeth only appeared mildly whiter.I got a second opinion from my spouse who said, "they did look a little better".And so, I am not wildly impressed. Also, the next day, my teeth were noticeably sore.Coincidence?I'm not so sure. The final result isn't worth the emotional letdown, two hours of downtime, and weird aftertaste that lingers for a day or so.
