I've been using Listerine for years, ever since I was a little kid. To be honest, I'm so used to the "nasty" taste, it isn't nasty to me anymore. I don't even think about it. If the taste is too strong, just dilute it in water. I did it as a kid and I still do it because it's too strong otherwise for me.

Interestingly, in 1976 the feds said that Listerine could not longer claim that it helped with sore throats, but I've been using Listerine for sore throats for years. I rinse it down my throat as far as I can gargle and it sometimes it just kills the sore throat dead if I catch it early enough. Make sure you don't swallow it though.

I don't use Listerine every day, but I will use it as part of my dental hygiene.

Ok the only reason I'm giving this 3 stars is because I'm sure it works just like any other Listerine.That said, this is the worst flavored mouthwash I have ever had in my life.I can't begin to explain the bizarre aftertaste this leaves in your mouth...it literally tastes like you just put sewer antiseptic stuff in your mouth.I've had many many many kinds of mouthwashes, please believe me when I say this is the most awful tasting one I have EVER encountered.I drank water and coke but the taste still lingers after 10 minutes, it would probably be a lot longer if I didn't drink the soda.I'm debating just tossing this entire bottle because it's so bad.Avoid this version of Listerine at all costs unless you are trying to punish whoever has to use this awful stuff.

We keep trying the flavored versions but I don't think anything compares to this original one. After reading, Kiss Your Dentist Goodbye which highly recommends this version, we're done trying.
