I used to work as a sales rep selling cosmetic ingredients to major cosmetic companies... Meaning I didn't work for a particular cosmetic company, but selling its ingredients through a broker. Because of this, I had to learn about all of the ingredients... To the level of a cosmetic scientist. Much of it was an eye opener and little is known by the American public o areas that should be.

For example, Europeans don't use shampoos with sodium lauryl sulfate or sodium laureth sulfate because it's a cheap and highly stripping soap that's even used in industrial floor cleaners. But it's a high foaming agent and we Americans equate foaming with clean so we buy it and we have less knowledge about ingredients so companies throw it in. This is changing now that consumers here become more informed and you'll now see labels that say "SLS free" on products which equals shampoos that clean as well but don't use foamers that strip your hair and cause breakage. (I personally have glossy shiny hair because I never use SLS shampoos.

I try to support companies that don't use cheap fillers...

So imagine my shock when I read this label. I'll be honest, I got the toothpaste free with a coupon. I didn't read the label at the store. I used it. Very minty with an odd taste and a copious amount of foam.

First ingredient... Water. Less flouride than any other toothpaste I've seen. Half as much as other toothpastes. But it gets better. The toothpaste claims it has "iso active foaming gel". Guess what that is a euphemism for? SOAP! This contains sodium lauryl sulfate which is basically dish soap. It's soap in gel form. With lots of mint to cover it. Never in my life have I seen that in something you put in your mouth. And it shouldn't be there! But that's not all folks, buy today and we'll throw in artificial colors like blue #1, ( not needed in toothpaste), sorbitol, an artificial sweetner, (2nd ingredient after water since you gotta cover up the soap after all.) and saccharin which is sweet n low.. And about 8 other artificial ingredients. Artificial ingredients are normal in toothpaste but not all these. None of which are whiteners in this toothpaste that is claiming to be a whitening toothpaste.

Gets better. It's in a metal tube where you can't see how much is left for a reason. I got 17 small pumps out of it. Only. That's what made me turn the label over because it shocked me. Unfortunately I began reading the ingredients then.

But that's not the worst of it. Because of the soap in it it has, (I kid you not) the warning label for those who don't spit it out that if you accidentally swallow more than the small amount you might accidentally ingest in brushing that you should "GET MEDICAL HELP OR CONTACT A POISON CONTROL CENTER RIGHT AWAY!!" I am not kidding!! It says that on the label! Exact words! Go look!

On a positive note... Um... Hmmm. Oh, it's a pretty metal tube.

But with a toothpaste containing ingredients needing medical help if I swallow a glob due to stripping foaming soap agents... No thanks.

I'm shocked. Consumers need to read product labels. Especially this one. It scares me that a kid might use it and swallow a lot accidentally and what parent would guess the toothpaste is causing stomach problems or nausea?

I originally reviewed this with 2 stars, as it left a pretty bad taste in my mouth.Fast forward a couple weeks and I'm now pleased with the product.I don't notice the weird taste anymore, and it is whitening my teeth better than any Crest or other brand of whitening I have ever used... It doesn't feel abrasive at all, so rather than using polishing agents I think it is relying on oxygen or peroxide.

I am now pleased enough with the product that I will buy it again.I am leaving it now at a 4 star instead of 5 because of the terrible adjustment period that I don't think any product should have or require.I am leaving my original review below so you can see the kind of "distaste" I had for it originally...

Original title:A strange taste, texture and experience.

I was drawn to this by the dispensing and packaging having an interesting look.The first thing I noticed that was "off" was that the toothpaste leaves a taste of "stale air" in the mouth, I guess, when it turns from gel to foam.Maybe it's carbon dioxide, or some other outgassing happening during the foaming process, but it almost made me sick at first.

I've kept using it for several days and it's been not terrible to adjust to. The toothpaste is clearly less abrasive than other whitening toothpastes that have polishers in them, but that being said, the toothpaste seems to be making my teeth temperature sensitive like Crest White Strips do.

If you're adventurous and have to know what this toothpaste is about, it probably won't make you vomit, but otherwise it's kinda strange and in need some some further refinement.

It's basically shaving cream. You put it on your toothbrush and it's a gel, then you start brushing and it turns into a thick foam and TASTES and FEELS exactly like shaving cream. I almost threw up while brushing my teeth with it, it felt wrong, it IS wrong. I checked the ingredients.......it contains soap. No wonder it foams. I cannot believe they put this toothpaste on the market. My mouth does not feel clean, it feels violated.

I've had problems with my teeth since they first came in. My birth mother got no prenatal care, no vitamins, less than adequate nutrition for a woman who's not pregnant to begin with and ingested various chemicals that were not good for me, her fetus. I was neglected terribly.Long story short, I was a sick baby who spent about 3 years on antibiotics. But, it tastes great and feels interesting with all the foaming. After I'm done, I spit and rinse as usual....and run my tongue over my teeth giggling. It was like I'd just gotten out of the dentist's chair! It was amazing! I'm still surprised every time I use it how well it works. My dentist even asked me what I've been using because my teeth are looking better.

It's a little more expensive, but a little goes a long way, and you're saving money at the dentist!

It comes in several nice flavors, in sensitivity formulation, whitening and a pro enamel version that help keep your enamel from wearing away.

I could tell major results after only three applications! The instructions are poorly written and hard to follow. I messed up the mouth guard. It is a one shot kinda deal, but I just used the top portion. Its fine. I'll get the bottom bit next time. The remineralizing gel comes out at a much faster rate and so that goes more quickly, plus there is less. That part doesn't make sense to me. It doesn't matter how slow you push the plunger or how much you try to only get a little bit. It always seems to just pop out a bunch. :(

Even with the all those flaws, I totally recommend this product because IT WORKS! I did a before photo, and three days later did another and set them side by side. I could not believe the difference! I'm not even sure I'll go the full two weeks. My smile is already so bright! Love it!

(The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is b/c the instructions, the remineralizing gel, and the fact that the mouth guard is so easy to mess up and they only give you two. I think since it is so easy to mess up they should give three or make it more apparent in the directions that it is easy to screw up.)

I gave this product 2 stars because it burns.It gets very hot and begins to burn the gums on contact.Thank goodness for the cooling gel.I am afraid to use it again.If you buy this I suggest you only use a tiny bit of the bleaching gel.The gel is so strong it turned my gums white it burned and had my gums sore and sensitive for a day.My teeth did look whiter after one use.Im afraid to try the treatment again because I don't want to hurt and damage my mouth.It was 3 sheets of different instructions on how to use it (confusing). I have never felt comfortable applying those paint-on teeth whiteners where you have to force your mouth into unnatural and scary looking positions for several minutes.I don't have the patience to keep my darn lips off my teeth for 10 seconds never mind two entire minutes.It's a torturous procedure for lazy me and though I've bought several of those paint-on kits I've never made it more than 3 days in a row before throwing in the towel and resigning myself to a life of coffee-stained choppers.

When I read an add for this stuff hawked by the likes of Danny Aiello (I kid you not) and "jet setters worldwide", which claimed all you had to do was brush your teeth (heck, even I can do that), I couldn't resist.This product is pricey and when it arrived I was a bit surprised by the itty bitty tubes and the weird directions which instructed me to use it on a dry toothbrush.However, I had already shelled out my cash and my teeth weren't exactly what they used to be so I gave it a go.

Per the instructions I applied just a pea sized drop of the toothpaste and another pea sized drop of the accelerator (which they say must be used with their toothpaste in order to work but, hmmm, I wonder . . .) and proceeded to gently scrub each tooth in a circular motion until the timer informed me that two minutes had passed.This wasn't nearly as difficult as attempting to keep my teeth dry for the same length of time!This two minute brushing, they say, should be done at least twice a day but after a few days I sometimes "forgot" the nighttime step and settled for a quick brushing with just the toothpaste out of pure exhaustion.

After just a few days I noticed a definite difference.My teeth felt very clean and were at least a shade whiter.Now, several weeks later I'm still using this stuff (it lasts forever because you don't have to use all that much) and my coffee stains are gone.My teeth are noticeably whiter but not that scary, blinding "Zoom" white that looks like you've just spent a months salary bleaching your teeth.

I highly recommend this if you have moderate staining and some extra cash.It's not something I'll buy on a regular basis but since there's no way I'm giving up coffee it is something I'll most likely need to use again.

I had previously smoked for 25 years, coffee and more. Tried shelf bought whitening toothpastes and even strips with no results. I could immediately tell Supersmile whitened my teeth. Best Teeth Whitening

I wanted to wait until I used this product for at least 30 days before I left my results.Actually I did not use for the full 30 days only for a couple of weeks.I am very happy with the results.The light that included is kind of cool and it does seem to give me a deeper white over some otc stuff I have used in the past.There is plenty of solution left so as soon as I can locate another mouth guard I will get my husband going on it.

I used to get a very high quality strong teeth whitening paste from my dentist, but I guess because of sensitivity issues and how strong it was they stopped making it and I was never told.The next time I went to purchase it from my dentist the new solution was essentially the same kind of solution as this except it was 3x the price and less than half of the strength.

So I guess I'm basing the 5 stars mainly because of the quality you get for the price.For 20 bucks you get the tray, light, 2 syringes, and you get the permanent discount on refill syringes.

So for what you're getting for your money, it is definitely worth it.I can't really comment on the quality of the trays, since I already had the ones I had gotten made at the dentist, but the kit was still cheap and I figured someone else I know could use it if they need one.As long as you carefully follow the directions to mold them properly I would imagine they are fine.The whitening gel is pretty good, it is strong enough to see results pretty quickly, but in general it isn't really different from any other carbamide peroxide whiteners other than maybe the concentration.The light also seems to make at least a bit of a difference as I do notice my teeth look better after using it and I think my teeth are just a bit more sensitive after using it (very minimal, but it varies greatly from person to person anyways, the carbamide peroxide tends to be pretty easy on your teeth for the most part).The light is a bit annoying to use, might make you drool, and you look stupid with it in, but I still like using it since it speeds up the process, and you don't have to keep it on for long.You only need it for 10 minutes.

You can order the free refills from their website with proof of your amazon purchase.You still have to pay s&h so they are not totally free (though most people could probably guess that, nothing ever is) so it ends up being about $5-6 per syringe, which is still pretty good even though it isn't that much less that the regular price would be (about $10).Especially if you don't already have a tray it is a much better deal to get the kit, and like I said I think the light is good too.

So if you've used other kinds of whiteners before it's nothing special, but I can promise that it does work well and will do its job.It will get your teeth whiter, and you will have to use occasionally after you reach desired results for maintenance, but that will be up to you.The original whitener that I got from the dentist that they stopped making is still the best thing I've ever used, it was awesome, incredibly strong you would see results from only once use, but since I can't buy it anymore it is irrelevant, and that one was also quite a bit more expensive and did cause some sensitivity issues at times.At least it was worth the money.I still can't believe my dentist was trying to charge about $100 for once of the syringes that is in this kit (they were $10 for .15 cc) and it was a much lower concentration, so low it didn't even work at all.

Other common whiteners like crest are also more expensive, they only give about 20 days worth, and the results themselves aren't going to be much different, maybe there is a bit of difference in speed if anything.The supply you're given here will probably last you at the very least 6 months depending on how frequently you whiten.If you get your desired results pretty quickly it is more likely it will expire before you use it up.

I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a new whitening product!

Dr George's Dental White Kit, Patented Dental Whitening System

I feel like I've noticed whiter teeth after first use, though this may just be my imagination. I look forward to seeing the full results after 2-3 weeks, and I will update the review at that point.

Also note that the product is a bit misleading in saying just two 30 minute applications a day. I thought thought this meant 30 min morning, 30 min evening, but in reality the instruction booklet says to apply gel, then leave mouth pieces in for 20-30 min, then at the end of 20-30 min reapply the gel and place back in mouth for 20-30 min, then to do it a third CONSECUTIVE time! This means in reality its 60-90 minutes a day in one session. Personally it doesn't bother me, I just want to make it clear for potential buyers. I should mention too that during the end of the second application, my teeth/gums started burning a bit, so I had to stop. I'll probably shorten application time and hope that changes things.

Also BEWARE OF SELLER. I left 2 star feedback for ONlineServiceVCsince product arrived outside delivery range and arrived damaged. They responded to my feedback:

In reality there was no shipping box, it was the product box that was damaged as it came shipped in only a plastic shipping bag with no protection. Also, the shipping time would have been fine if I paid for STANDARD, but I was charged $4.99 S&H, not $1.99, so the product arrived outside the timeframe I was given/paid for. So they basically called me a liar and responded with lies. Just beware if you purchase this with them.

First of all, I have, unfortunately, "cream" colored teeth genetically.Mine grew in that way as adult teeth.Now that I'm older, it's not as noticeable because many my age have the same color teeth (I'm near 50).My kids, thank goodness, have pretty white teeth like my wife does.Perhaps it's because they don't want their teeth to look as yellowish as mine do when they're older, they are obsessed with white teeth.We've all used about every product on the market (including Crest Whitestrips and others) and by far, Doctor George brightens the teeth more than anything else.All the "bigger" names have bought up all the shelves so companies like Walgreens can't stock it any longer.I'm glad it's available here.My kids teeth (and my wife's) get really bright white in less than a week.Mine brighten a few shades as well (so I'm not as self conscious about it).This is about as good as you'd get going to a dentist for a minimal price.

I've been using this product for about 5 years. My mother bought it for me after she found it in the clearance isle and let me tell you, NOTHING BEATS IT! I've had people stop me in the store and say WOW! Your teeth are so white! My favorite story was when I went to a new dentist and he commented on how white my teeth were. He wanted to know what whitenening procedure I had done. He was shocked when I told him it was Dr. George. He said people were paying him a lot of money to get the same results!!!!The only negative is the taste and sometimes my gums get sore but well worth it in my opinion considering my teeth were once very yellow!

The mouth trays didn't work for me. I did it step by step according to the directions and they just shriveled up within 4 seconds of being in the hot water. I suggest getting different trays other than that its great.

We've tried many different natural toothpastes. This is the best natural toothpaste we could find based on taste/results it is just like using the best non-natural toothpastes, but without any of the garbage ingredients in it. However, we had to switch. I agree with the other reviewer on the negatives the cap is so hard to open that kids need adult help to do so. And, if left even once without the cap securely closed, you will find an almost-empty tube with a toothpaste mess on the counter.

This product appealed to me because it has no fluoride.

However, the actual toothpaste tube is made poorly and the cap it very hard to open. If you leave the cap open with the tube on its side, the toothpaste finds its way out onto the surface you've placed the tube on.

Burt's Bees should work on their tubes!

I bought a tube of Burt's Bees toothpaste because I saw it was fluoride-free. My teeth can be very sensitive at times, so i wanted to try a "natural" product and see if it makes a difference.

First of all, the tube is incredibly difficult to open. I ended up screwing the lid off due to laziness. haha.

Second, trying to get the paste onto my brush was even more difficult!

Lastly, the toothpaste left my mouth feeling clean and beautiful.I enjoy this product very much, but it feels like my breath doesn't stay fresh for long.I recommend using a mouth wash after the toothpaste.

After trying every possible natural toothpaste on the market, this was my dream come true.It tastes like real minty toothpaste.It doesn't have that bad baking soda grit and salty taste and it freshens my breath unlike some natural choices that are just too 'mild'The biggest disappointment is the tube.I can't say that I noticed the cap being difficult to open (my kids open it just fine) but the tube cracked on the side seam on both tubes I have had so far.The soft consistency of the paste starts to ooze out and, I concur, if you leave the cap open, it will make a puddle on your sink.Even still, I would rather use this than any other.It is the best, and hopefully Burts Bees will fix the problems with the tube asap!If you are careful with it, you won't run into any trouble.

Equate Xtreme Whitening Wraps 7 Day System

I purchased this product from my local Walmart. Figured I'd buy it in lieu of shelling out the $50+ for other brands. Was sold on the idea of the "Quality Guaranteed" seal. Figured I'd try it for 3 days and return it if I saw no results within that timeframe. Granted, I'm neither a smoker nor a coffee drinker, so I figured 30 minutes a day of whitening would prove beneficial within 3 days or wouldn't prove beneficial at all. I was pleasantly surprised after the first use. My teeth are literally 'pearly white'! Today is my 3rd day using this product and given the results, I'm considering not going the full 7 days because my teeth look great!

I came onsite to 'Wish List' this product so I'd have an electronic reminder of a product I'd be interested in purchasing again, and was surprised by the low ratings. That said, having used a more expensive product years ago (which proved messy, slippery and not as effective), I must say I love the form fitting 'technology' (as described on the box) and the convenience of how well the wraps sticks, how sturdy they are, and how comfortable it is to apply the wraps to my upper and lower teeth at the same time for 30 minutes.

The product conforms comfortably and securely to my teeth after a minute or so, and, as stated in the instructions, if you rinse with cold water it comes right off...but pulling it off minus cold water has not been an issue for me. I just peel the wraps off slowly and brush my teeth afterward (although the instructions don't speak to preor post-brushing).

I bought these from my local walmart. They were $14.89 and it has 7 top and 7 bottom gel whiting retainers. they remind me of hockey mouth guards. The first use was simple and easy. However, they are very sticky when trying to take them off. If you do not dry your teeth first they will not stick and you have to leave them in for a half hour. I have not noticed a significant difference in my teeth color. Also, they hydrogen peroxide in the whitening strips burnt a little bit of my gums and bleached the edges of my gums a little. They also made my gums sensitive and sore when I had to brush. The instructions also do not tell whether or not you are supposed to brush before or after using the strips. I guess compared to the twice a day ten minutes a day, thin crest whitening strips they're comparable. Mainly in price because 10 of the crest strips cost $19.99. I am just hoping the pain I put my gums through isn't going to cause permanent damage.

Being involved in the dental field, I'm constantly concerned about the color of my teeth. I bought these at my local Walmart for $14.99 (not sure why amazon is selling them for $25) but I did notice results in 3 days. Sure they aren't the best whitening product on the market but its definitely worth the price if you are on a budget like I am. I don't smoke or drink coffee but I am an occasional dark soda drinker. My teeth weren't stained really to begin with but I'm always looking for a whiter smile and these gave me just the little boost that I needed. Great for people on a budget like I said. Very easy to use. I had no problems applying or removing. They take just a few seconds to conform to your teeth and stay in place for the 30 minutes you have to keep them on. I leave mine in while I shower and they work just fine.

Self Forming Dual Arch Teeth Whitening Shield with Container- No Boiling Needed!

I received one of these things almost a week ago after ordering it here on Amazon, and after trying to use it every day for this period of time, I can safely say that the cheapo trays you boil and mold, which I despise by the way, are leagues better than this piece of junk. Even when I followed the included directions, I could not get it to fit to my teeth well at all. It could get something of a vaguely decent fit with a lot of effort(straying from the included directions stating to "try to swallow repeatedly" in the process), but in doing so, the whitening gel would get smeared onto my gums(ouch). It did technically prevent drooling by blocking the saliva from leaving my mouth, but then the saliva would just accumulate to the point where it would fill my mouth up and I'd struggle to avoid swallowing it. I'm going to order more of the cheapo boiling trays and throw this thing away.

Very Comfortable, no boiling or anything like that for it to fit your teeth. Was easy to sit for 30 minutes with this tray. Spend the extra and get this instead of the cheaper ones.

I have used several types of teeth trays and found this one to be by far the best one. It is extremely soft and comfortable to wear. Allows gel to stay in contact with teeth without drool washing it away. I paid a ot more for mine from another retailer but feel I still got a good deal. It does take a few tries to get used to it as it does allow you to swallow during whitening without swallowing the gel which minimizes the drooling mess by tons. I made the mistake of getting this same product from my dentist however, I payed One Hundred & thirty dollars for it. This gel really does a great job. I didn't have and still don't have any tooth sensitivity at all. It is almost impossible to keep from getting on your gums and sometimes bleached the gums a little bit for a day (like most bleaches do) but it goes away and doesn't do any damage to your mouth. It works best if you have a well fitted mouthpiece. I saw results in 2 days. I've used products that cost this same amount (and more) that did NOTHING, I even fell for that light thing gimmick you shine on your teeth that makes you look like a complete fool. LumiBrite is pretty strong stuff! I went up about 4 to 5 shades.

I usually don't leave reviews but felt compelled to do so because of my experience with this company.I was skeptical about the quality of these trays given the price.I received them today...they are on par with trays my dentist made for me and cost 1/4 the price.The fit is good and they cover my teeth...nice.The Customer Service Department for this company rocks.I forgot to include the customer return card when I sent my impressions to them.After realizing this a few weeks later I quickly sent them an email.I received a reply from customer service in two hours saying they would have the lab check for them the following day and would contact me with a status later that day.I subsequently noticed the card had a customer number on it so I sent an email the following morning with the number.Received an immediate email response from customer service saying this was very helpful followed by a second response a few hours later advising the lab found my impressions, the impressions were great and that the trays would be made and sent shortly. Even my "thank you" emails were acknowledged by Customer Service.Nice touch.

I'm the type that reads reviews before I buy because I can usually get a feel for the product and the company. The ones I read about this product before buying were spot on.
